What VentraConnect Pro Adds for Email OTP
VentraConnect Free provides Email OTP on supported core WordPress authentication surfaces. VentraConnect Pro extends the same OTP method into supported third-party placements.
VentraConnect adds OTP authentication to supported surfaces. It does not replace the underlying registration, checkout, membership, or enrollment logic of those platforms.
WooCommerce Login & My Account
WooCommerce login and My Account are commonly used by customers who already have accounts.
This lets My Account remain a login surface while still giving existing customers a passwordless OTP option.
WooCommerce Checkout
Checkout is different from My Account login because WooCommerce may legitimately create a customer account during checkout.
Test checkout separately from My Account. They are different flows and should not be assumed to have identical account-creation behaviour.
Email OTP Registration Mode Still Applies
Email OTP keeps its own method-level registration mode inside supported integrations.
Login & Register does not mean “create users everywhere.” The integration surface and account-creation rules still determine whether registration is appropriate.
Guardrails on Supported Integration Login Forms
Guardrails help keep supported login forms separate from registration flows.
Goal: keep login forms as login forms while leaving account creation to the onboarding flow designed for that integration.
Membership & Community Integrations
VentraConnect Pro supports Email OTP placements across supported membership and community platforms.
Keep the intended signup path intact. If the platform expects new users to register through a membership checkout or dedicated signup page, do not use a login placement to bypass that process.
LMS Integrations
VentraConnect Pro also supports Email OTP placements across supported LMS platforms.
An LMS may have separate login, registration, enrollment, checkout, or student account flows. Treat each one as a separate context when testing Email OTP.
Comments & Inline OTP Forms
The inline form uses the same Email OTP rules as other supported OTP flows. Registration mode, Guardrails, redirects, expiry, resend throttling, max attempts, and email delivery still apply.
How to Test an Integration
Recommended test checklist:
- Identify the integration's existing-user login surface
- Identify its proper new-user registration, checkout, or enrollment flow
- Confirm Email OTP is Active
- Confirm the relevant integration placement is enabled
- Confirm whether Email OTP is set to Login Only or Login & Register
- Test the login surface with an existing user email
- Test the same login surface with a completely new email
- Confirm Guardrails block account creation where that login form should remain existing-user-only
- Test the legitimate registration, checkout, or enrollment flow separately
- Verify the OTP email arrives and the newest code is accepted
- Verify the post-login redirect
Always test while logged out. Use a private/incognito browser session so an existing WordPress session does not hide the real integration behaviour.
