Choose where VentraConnect authentication methods appear across WooCommerce login, registration, and customer account surfaces.
VentraConnect Pro lets you place supported authentication methods on WooCommerce customer-facing forms without relying on generic shortcodes.
You can use WooCommerce placements for:
This guide focuses on where those methods appear. Account-creation rules are covered separately.
Before You Configure Placements
Make sure:
- WooCommerce is installed and active.
- VentraConnect Pro is installed and active.
- The WooCommerce integration is enabled.
- The authentication methods you want to display are already configured and active.
- Your theme is using compatible WooCommerce login and registration templates.
Placement only controls visibility and position. It does not decide whether a user is allowed to create a new account.
WooCommerce Login Placement
The WooCommerce login form is mainly used by returning customers.
VentraConnect Pro can place enabled authentication methods around that form so existing customers can sign in without relying only on passwords.
For most stores: placing alternative login methods above the form makes them easier to discover before customers reach the password fields.
WooCommerce Registration Placement
If your WooCommerce account settings expose a registration form, VentraConnect can also show supported authentication methods on that surface.
Registration placement is different from login placement because the surrounding WooCommerce form is already intended for new-account creation.
Use the available placement settings to position VentraConnect authentication options where they fit your theme and signup flow.
Do not use registration placement to bypass your store's intended onboarding flow. Keep WooCommerce registration settings and VentraConnect account-creation behavior aligned.
My Account Placement
The WooCommerce My Account page can contain both login and registration experiences depending on your WooCommerce settings.
If you use Guardrails to keep login surfaces existing-user-only, direct new visitors to the proper registration or checkout flow instead.
Which Authentication Methods Appear?
WooCommerce placement does not automatically enable every VentraConnect method.
Configure each authentication method first, then use the WooCommerce integration to decide where it should appear.
Placement Does Not Control Account Creation
This distinction is important:
A button being visible does not mean the current form can create a new account.
Theme & Template Compatibility
VentraConnect placements rely on supported WooCommerce form locations and hooks.
If buttons do not appear where expected, check whether your theme or another plugin has replaced the standard WooCommerce templates.
Things to check:
- Custom WooCommerce My Account templates.
- Custom login or registration form builders.
- Theme overrides inside
woocommerce/template folders. - Checkout builders or page builders that replace standard WooCommerce hooks.
- Caching or optimization tools serving stale markup.
Test Your Placements
Recommended test:
- Save your WooCommerce integration settings.
- Open a private/incognito browser window.
- Visit the WooCommerce My Account page.
- Confirm the enabled methods appear in the expected position.
- Test the login form with an existing customer.
- If registration is enabled, inspect the registration form separately.
- Test desktop and mobile layouts.
- Repeat the test with any custom WooCommerce template or page-builder layout you use.
Test each surface independently. A method appearing correctly on My Account does not guarantee the same placement will appear correctly at checkout.
If a Placement Does Not Appear
- Confirm VentraConnect Pro is active.
- Confirm the WooCommerce integration is enabled.
- Confirm the authentication method is enabled.
- Confirm the relevant placement is enabled.
- Clear page, browser, CDN, and WooCommerce-related caches.
- Test while fully logged out.
- Check for WooCommerce template overrides.
- Temporarily test with a default WooCommerce-compatible theme if you suspect a template conflict.
