WooCommerce has separate login, registration, checkout, and My Account flows. VentraConnect Pro lets you place modern authentication into those supported surfaces without treating every one of them as the same account-creation context.
Login and checkout are not the same thing
A WooCommerce login form is often intended for existing customers. Checkout, on the other hand, may legitimately create a customer account depending on your WooCommerce configuration.
VentraConnect's account-creation controls are designed to preserve that distinction instead of allowing every visible Social Login, Magic Link, or Email OTP option to become a generic signup route.
WooCommerce login / My Account
VentraConnect Pro includes a WooCommerce-specific account-creation control for supported login surfaces. This lets the My Account login experience remain available to existing users without automatically turning it into a new-customer registration path.
Checkout can remain an intentional account-creation flow
VentraConnect does not globally block new WooCommerce customer creation. If your WooCommerce checkout is configured to create accounts, supported VentraConnect authentication at checkout can participate in that customer journey.
Registration mode still applies
Magic Link and Email OTP keep their own registration mode inside WooCommerce flows:
Never creates a new account
The method can authenticate an existing WooCommerce/WordPress user but does not register a new one.
May create an account
The method can register a new user only where the current WooCommerce and Guardrail rules permit account creation.
A clean WooCommerce setup
- Decide whether My Account login should authenticate existing customers only.
- Decide whether checkout is one of your legitimate new-customer creation paths.
- Configure Magic Link and Email OTP as Login Only or Login & Register based on whether those methods should ever register users.
- Set VentraConnect's WooCommerce account-creation rule to match your intended My Account behavior.
- Test one existing customer and one completely new email through My Account and checkout separately.
Placement controls do not decide account eligibility
Choosing whether VentraConnect appears above or below a WooCommerce form is a presentation decision. Account creation is controlled by the method's registration mode, WooCommerce's own registration settings, and the relevant VentraConnect Guardrails.
